Christoph Schifferli, born 1950 in Zurich, studied Sinology and Economic History in Paris;

1980 Ph.D. on Chinese economic history from Université Paris 7; from 1981 research

assignments in Asia, as well as various activities in the publishing and technology sectors.

Since 1983 he's mostly been engaged in the realm of multimedia and online technology,

with emphasis on art, culture and education. Since the 1980s, Christoph Schifferli has

been a collector of photography and artists' books.
